Leighton House Museum
Kensington’s Most Loved Culture Venue
The Protagonist Magazine proudly shares the winning of the Time Out Love London Award of Kensington’s Most Loved Culture Venue by Leighton House Museum. The Holland Park house was the sumptuous residence of one of the most interesting figures of the Victorian London art scene.
Despite his highly respected position in the fine art community and existence as a 'celebrity artist' of the time, Lord Leighton’s personal life has always been clouded by a haze of mystery. This is why our editor Daen Palma Huse investigated further at the Leighton House Museum archives in connection to Leighton's relation to his models Dorothy Dene and in particular Mary Lloyd. The full article is available in The Protagonist Magazine Issue 2 titled "Uncovering Leighton", accompanied by the editorial "Isabella" which was shot in the very rooms of the now critically acclaimed museum.
Congratulations to Leighton House Museum!
